SKIMBOARDING
Skimboarding is a cool and inexpensive watersport, that you can practise on most sandy beaches (seaside/lakes/riverside/backwaters and ponds). It’s like a mix of skateboarding and surfing. There are even special tracks for skimming you can use anywhere (city centers, indoors). All you need is super shallow waters, a quick sprint, confident throw under your feet and you drop on the board gliding immediately. As you progress, a variety of rotations, shuv-its and tricks become accessible. Later on - the jibbing world opens up - shredding rails, boxes and other obstacles is super fun! Enjoy your glides, skim that beach!
Skimboarding complements and prepares for any other boardsport - snowboarding, longboarding, skateboarding, wake, kite, windsurfing or wave surfing. You really don’t need much. Stoke is a major component. Then some balance, speed and agility is enough to make you a good skimboarder. Skimboarding will teach you balance and control in a side-stance surf and boardriding position. It's great interval training too! Practising skimboarding will definetely help you become a better and more stylish snowboarder or surfer!
Before you start your skim session, warm up your body! Couple of sprints at the beach, a series of sit-ups, some good leg stretches and you’re ready to shred! Look for skimboarding instruction videos on Youtube. We highly recommend practicing your balance, tricks and deep muscle/joints stabilization on a trickboard. You’ll avoid injuries and progress much quicker at the beach trickboardzie!.

STORY & PAST
PAKALOLO SKIMBOARDS has been at the forefront of the skimboarding industry since the very early days. Between years 2003-2006 we were experimenting and handcrafting our first wooden skimboard designs. It was 2007 when we decided to go fully professional. Since then a lot of work has been done to build the skimboarding scene as it looks today, in Poland and surrounding european countries.
Our first small production facility was a tiny wooden hut - a relic watersports clubhouse directly at the beachside of a local lake. Sanding and varnishing at dusk and dawn to be able to enjoy watersports at daytime. Solid constructions, flawless manufacturing process, extreme durability and no glitches. Our early production boardsare still gliding the beaches!
We have organised countless promo events and contests over the years - from the Baltic Coast through major cities to mountain towns. PAKALOLO SKIMFEST, PAKALOLO SKIMBOARD JAMS, helping out at biggest skimboarding event worldwide - POLISH SKIMBOARDING OPEN in Gdańsk Years of stoke, friendships and healthy competition. We were the first to introduce special skimboard tracks and organise city center events and INDOOR JAMS. The competitors followed.

Fast Forward do lat 20tych. Polska jest krajem #1 na mapie światowego skimboardingu. Ma najwięcej dobrych riderów, profesjonalnych eventów i contestów, konkurujących brandów (szkoda że tylu kultowych producentów desek przeszło na emeryturę..;)
Skimy produkowane w kraju eksportowane są, oprócz całej UE, również do USA i Azji… Czaicie to??
Brand PAKALOLO pozostaje w rękach ludzi od zawsze związanych ze sportami deskowymi. Od 2016 roku produkcją oraz dystrybucją desek zajmuje się firma Let’s Board (kiedyś Boarders) – sklep multideskowy w samym sercu Poznania, prowadzony przez utytułowanego zawodnika snowboardowego – Artura “Raja” Rajewskiego.
Fast forward to the twenties. Poland is #1 country on global skimboarding map. Most stoked riders, skimboard brands, professional events and contests are engrossed in our cities, Baltic coast, rivers and lake-beaches. Polish production skimboards are exported all over the world these days. We are proud that we had a major share of creating this market in Poland and Europe!

Fashionable patterns have always distinguished our riders of all ages on the beach! Where does the brand name come from? We suggest that from Hawaii.
PAKALOLO skimboards are made of selected plywood from Polish deciduous trees (mainly alder and birch), cross-glued in layers. We protect them in our own paint shop with a multi-layer polyurethane coating, which ensures many years of durability even with intensive use. The great grip of the feet is due to the proprietary technology of applying the grip. Unlike boards with HPL laminate, our decks have a greater flex, thanks to which, while maintaining the stability of the glide, it is easier to learn pop and rotation, the board will forgive imperfect riding technique.
